Surveying / Construction Technician

We are seeking a Surveying/Construction Technician to join our multi-disciplinary consulting firm, who has a desire to be a part of our growing land surveying and engineering company, and has the following skills and qualifications:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting field survey efforts for roadway, site, and energy design projects using Trimble GNSS, S-Series Total Stations, and Trimble data collectors
  • Serving as the technical lead for survey efforts
  • Computer skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office
  • Providing support to construction projects and staff by collecting as-built documentation and/or staking improvements
  • Accurately compiling survey data, calculations, and deliverables
  • Communicating effectively internally and externally
  • Researching previous survey evidence, including maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records, to obtain data needed for surveys.
  • Processing survey work and deliverables, offering valuable input and contributing to project success.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 3+ years of field survey experience; an Associates Degree in Land Surveying is beneficial, but not required.
  • A sense of ownership and collaboration in a team environment.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, either personal or company vehicle, to travel to worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferences (this position primarily utilizes company provided vehicle(s)).
  • To be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
  • To occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and/or project-related work.
